POWA Institute is Western Australia’s Institute for new thinking, working in the areas of social, environmental and economic change. Since 2006 we have been helping hundreds of West Australians use new thinking tools and processes, so they can deliberately create better futures for themselves, their organisations and communities.
We have a wide range of short course and intensive programs suitable for individuals, teams, CEO’s, managers, for-profit and not-for-profit organisations and government agencies. They all aim to do one thing: provide an opportunity for program participants to learn new ways to deliberately create better futures for themselves and their organisations for the social, economic or environmental benefit of Western Australia.
Public Workshops and Events
We conduct a wide range of workshops for the general public. These include short-courses in Serious Creativity, Focused Thinking, Complexity Leadership and Social Enterprise.
The income we receive from delivering our services and public workshops helps fund our work with unemployed young adults, at risk young people and youth. We are dedicated to helping them develop new thinking skills to deliberately create better futures for themselves. We are currently involved with unemployed participants participating in urban farm development with Green World Revolution, a West Australian environmental social enterprise.
When your organisation becomes a POWA Institute Corporate Member it will benefit from corporate discounts on all of our services. At the same time your organisation’s annual Membership Fee makes it possible each year for a young adult, working with disadvantaged or at-risk children and youth, to get one of our YouthinkWA Scholarships.
